The Fascinating World of Insects


Insects are a fascinating group of animals. There are more species of insect than all other forms of animal put together. We do not know exactly how many species of insect there are, but over a million species have been discovered, and this is likely to be merely the tip of the iceberg.
With this web-site, I hope to show some of their fascinating features. Sadly many British species are struggling and in need of help. Some will be highlighted. See the links page for details of conservation bodies dedicated to protecting insects and other wildlife.
