List of the Dragonflies and Damselflies recorded at Kinewell Lake
- Banded Demoiselle, Calopteryx splendens: Common, especially along the river
- Large Red Damselfly, Pyrrhosoma nymphula: Occasional
- Azure Damselfly, Coenagrion puella: Very common
- Variable Damselfly, Coenagrion pulchellum: a few records for 1998
- Common Blue Damselfly, Enallagma cyathigerum (pictured right): Very common
- Blue-tailed Damselfly, Ischnura elegans: Common
- Red-eyed Damselfly, Erythromma najas: Numerous on the river
- Hairy Hawker, Brachytron pratense: First record 23rd May 1999!
- Migrant Hawker, Aeshna mixta (pictured right): Common
- Southern Hawker, Aeshna cyanaea: Common
- Brown Hawker, Aeshna grandis: Reasonably common
- Emperor Dragonfly, Anax imperator: Reasonably common
- Four-spotted Chaser, Libellula quadrimaculata: Reasonably common
- Broad-bodied Chaser, Libellula depressa: Occasional
- Black-tailed Skimmer, Orthetrum cancellatum (pictured right):Common
- Common Darter, Sympetrum striolatum: Common
- Ruddy Darter, Sympetrum sanguineum (pictured below): Numerous
